In The Defendant Testifies —  Part 1, we begin our review of the testimony of the defendant in this trial, Alex Murdaugh. Almost immediately in his direct examination of Mr. Murdaugh, Defense Attorney Jim Griffin elicits the defendant’s admission that he lied when he told SLED agents that he was not with his wife and son near the Moselle road kennels shortly before they were murdered.
